Mermaids and Mountains by JoceyDraws Mermaids and Mountains by JoceyDraws
So i'm in love. IN LOVE. with the old vintage Disneyland posters that they used to have for each land and ride in Disney (they have them displayed in those two tunnels when you enter the park). So in tribute, I made my own orginal Disneyland Vintage Poster, showing off the Matterhorn's Tomorrowland side and the old mermaid lagoon with a submarine and monorail.

I wish they would hire people to make some mondernized versions of these, I would totally go for it. Oh to work at Disneyyyyy C:

FFFF i can't draw water...

So please, enjoy! And do not use without permission please!

I love this poster and I'm wondering if it would be at all possible to get a print of it.

They hired Shag to make a bunch of art for the Tiki Room and Haunted Mansion.

Way, WAY back in 1965 I went with my father to California that summer, and of course I had to go to Disneyland.  The mermaids made a permanent impression on me, including a desperate wish for a good camera with telephoto lens.

Before I even read your caption, I was thinking, "Hey, that reminds me of those vintage Disneyland posters," which I love as well. I don't even like Disneyland, but I would DEFINITELY go if they still had art like that.

A very brilliant idea, fun, nice retro and combination with the move, and my favorite ride in the park (for some reason) bar none.  Speaking of favorites... Thank you!

I actually fond a  fair amount of pictures of those girls before you did your picture.  Biggest problem was HORRIFIC AMOUNTS of chlorine in the water.  I think they all ended up blonde.

Mmmmm!  Yummy!  Lovely mermaids!  (I LOVE mermaids!)  Disneyland mermaids, no less!  I'd have loved to have seen the real-life mermaids that briefly occupied the submarine lagoon, back in the '60s & this work perfectly recalls that era.  Nicely done!
